Omschrijving
This Set of 28 NCLT $5 Aluminium-bronze Coins and Subscriber Medal was released as a joint collaboration between the Royal Australian Mint and the Perth Mint to celebrate the holding of the XXVII Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia in the year 2000. Each coin depicted one of 28 sports held at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Coins were all dated 2000 but were released between 1997 and 2000. They were available in a special album.
Each coin was issued in a capsule inserted into a coincard. Within the album there were 7 pages holding 4 coincards each.
Interestingly some of the coins had the Maklouf 3rd Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II Obverse and some had the Rank-Broadley 4th Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II Obverse. A Subscriber Medal/Token was also included (Shown on the second picture above).
