On Friday 05.11.2010 Eesti Pank introduced Estonian starter kits containing all the euro coins that will enter circulation for a total value of 200.12 EEK (= €12.79). Eesti Pank compiled a total of 600,000 euro coin starter kits, one for each household, that were sold for 200 EEK through commercial banks. That starter kit also contained a security token with the slogan of the euro introduction campaign: Tere Euro (Welcome Euro).

The starter kit was intended to allow the Estonian residents to familiarise themselves with the new euro coins and to ensure people can start using cash as from 1 January, the €-day.
