REICH RE. PF. - lion and warrior with shield & lance [opgelost]

Hello,

I'd appreciate any help to identify the below pictured item, which so far I haven't manage to locate in Numista collections or internet searches (by using the visible text).

It's been in my possession for about 50 years and can't remember how I got it.

Diameter: uneven 17mm
thickness: just a small fraction of a mm
metal is non-magnetic

Thanks in advance

I think it's a German counter token from the Lauer Workshop. Similar to this one:

RE. PF.
for Rechenpfennig

indeed Nuremberg countertoken (I think)

Thank you all for the comments.

The text makes now sense and I see the resemblance between my token and the one on the (@stratocaster) link or others found in internet when searching for "Lauer workshop" or "Lauer token".

I am still puzzled:
- If not a coin, did they have legal value when issued
or, What was the purpose of these tokens?

- Various web searches show various 'Lauer' tokens c. mid-1700s to early 1900s;
Is it possible to find a reasonable year of manufacture for the token in this discussion?

- same question as for the motif or purpose?
