Whilst updating my USA Morgan $1s I came across an advert from eBay showing a Fake 1921 $1 at the costly sum of £1.85 clearly made in the Far east should this be there or is it acceptable just as long as people are a wear that these coins are Fake (Replicas) there shouldn't be a problem but when they are advertised as Silver then clearly it is Fraud. We no it goes on but there may be some who are not as savvy and can get duped into thinking they are the real thing what is Numista's thoughts on this.
Common reply in the past was, the more info Numista adds about fakes, the better they will get. So before buying heavy weight champions, every beginner should start with small steps, like buying silver per weight at local dealer... (humble personal opinion).

Yes its good advice for those who are new to Collecting learnt very early with a Fake 1889 Crown that only weighed 19g instead of the usual 28.3g but then there was no Numista in fact there was no Internet the only information came from Books.
Simple solution, block ebay from using ads on our site unless they can verify all contain genuine coins or block advertisers from China.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Is your usual response to bite the hand that feeds you?
I never use ebay and never will, in New Zealand we have a great site called Trade me plus I have ad blocker on my computer, so I never see any ebay ads.

I would disable it, but the ads shown are the scammy ones like flashing signs saying you could win a $1000 Grocery voucher and its a well known scam. Another time an ad on this site nearly ran my computer down due to a wandering mouse and it had a virus.
Another one said "Evony" and had some expensive game, it showed a cartoon woman with massive breasts.
There was also "Thai brides love you" and "Best Canadian Pharmacy"
Until Numista can lift the quality of its ads, I can not have the risk, my computer is old and I am not the most skilful user.
