Just got this coin, and I was wondering if its genuine?
If someone could give me a grading for it, it would be very nice.
thank you!
it weights 6,8g for 27mm, its silver apparently.
Although the weight and diameter are about right, I see too many details wrong with your example and I do not believe it is genuine. Here are examples of genuine 1806 25C coins
Citeer: "Arno22"Damn! Thank you both!
Its a shame to see how deceptive can be fake coins sometimes.
im more used to french coins but this one looked ok to me.
I feel your pain my friend. Counterfeiters are a scourge on our community.
Thanks Harry for your kindness, yes it is a Pity that this kind of coins exist to fool collectors...
thanks also, LRC for your message, when i'll receive it, i'll be posting better pictures of it.
The most obvious and initial red flag to me was the distance between the word Liberty and the top of the bust and how close Liberty is to the rim. As well as other details such as the completely missing curl of hair to the immediate left of the 1 in the date. Even the worst condition and heavily worn coin prominently shows that detail.

just to show you this coin from pcgs, i think it shows the same defaults as the missing curl and the excess of metal near the T and the E of states on the reverse.
I received the coin today, so i wanted to show you better pictures of it.
I made silver tests, and its conclusive.
Never seen a copy made of silver with the good weight and diameter, maybe a vintage copy...? Anyway, it clearly has the characteristics of the browning 9 type
it went through environmental damages I suppose.
have a nice day !
