Netherlands 5 cent dated 1940 [opgelost]

4 berichten
Hi All

can anyone help me with the KM number for a 5 cents from the Netherlands -
dated on the back 1940, but on the front it says 25 years of the queen 1945 to 1970.

Is it a trial strike or a what?

Thanks Philip

Hello,

It appears to be a pattern strike coin. Very similar to this coin:

I would also think the coin was issued probably in 1970 not 1940.

It's not a real coin, it's a token. You've about 3 types, with each 40 different themes. You also have round types which look like this coin: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4146.html
