Hi!
I have notice that both the Ekuele and Bipkwele are mashed together as one currency in the catalogue. I'm not sure if this is all correct, since the Ekuele was used from 1975 to 1979, and Bipkwele was used from 1979-1985. The financial system was reformed after the fall of Macías' government.
The Ekuele was issued by "Banco Popular", and the Bipkwele was issued by "Banco de Guinea Ecuatorial".
Now the catalogue states the currency Ekwele (1975-1985), but I would like to see:
• Ekuele (1975-1989)
• Bipekwele (1979-1985)
Citeer: "ceh2019"Bipkwele is actually the plural. The singular form (post 1979) was Ekwele. Otherwise, I support this request.
Yes, ekwele is the singular form of bipkwele, but the singular form of ekuele is ekuele. Therefore I reckon these two should be seperated, different names, different currencies.
There is only one currency (ISO-4217-Code GQE) with an updated name in the middle.
Similar to let's say a lira isn't different from the older yeni lira.
