5 Dollars Hutt River Province - silver but different from the catalog

4 berichten • 102 keer bekeken
Dear colleagues,

I have got this coin:

en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces56515.html

It's made of silver, as the front side of the coin even says, but the back looks the same like the Cu-Ni one (i. e. no "In God We Trust").
I can't find anything about that variety.
Is it known?
Is it common?
Which one is rarer?
What could be the value, please?
I might add a photo if it helps but as said, it's silver without "In God We Trust" (and without the "V" behind the year, so, exactly like the Cu-Ni version on the back).

According to the "Unusual World Coins" Catalog,
X29 with the mention "ONE OZ.+.999 FINE SILVER" has been issued with the date of 1991 in Silver Proof with an estimate mintage of 4500 coins for an estimated commercial value of 65$
A version in Nickel Brass (without the mention Silver) is not referenced in the catalog but has also been issued.
The current entry in the Numista batabase should be referenced as X29A.
You can request this change and request a new entry X29 for your coin.

There is no X29A in the Krause catalog ... you can't simply make up reference numbers as much as you want it
