ECU d'or weight [opgelost]

Evening all,
I dug this ECU d'or up in my garden last summer, at the time I just thought it was a wax seal thrown away because it has a pit in it.
I also dug up ( metal detecting ) a small coin which I think might be gold, so having a look different French gold coins seeing if any looked like the very fuzzy one I have, I came across weights! And they look like mine!!
Does it have any value or does the pit render it valueless?

I forgot to say, it has 3 fleur de lys in a shield with a crown above with four points and above that it has a six ray sun.

I have no clue but if I'm ever in France, I would love to go metal detecting with you. You seem to dig a lot of things up.

Harryg; I do find interesting ancient bits and bobs when I I metal detect, as well as my coins, there is so much history here!
I have a coin I found by a tree in my hedgerow, I am surrounded by farmland.
I can't make out the date, so I can't identify it, can you or anybody else
make out what I think is the date?

​I'm sorry, I didn't say that the coin above was gold, I just said I found it in the tree line, I have found 10 medieval coins in my garden alone, and a silver franc from 1916.
My house is 320 years old and my village hasn't changed at all since the Napoleonic cadastre of 1810 ( map ) my other house ( opposite our small courtyard ) was a stopping place for the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela in Spain. It was a priest's house and has a carving in the wall above the doorway . I also have a huge garden of one and a half acres that hasn't changed in hundreds of years ( except that it has a fence around it, it was a sheep field when we bought it).
So the photo above is copper, or bronze, probably bronze, I'm in the process of cleaning it.
