I have this coin (token? Medal?) in an album alongside some of my silver ones and I just cannot figure out what it is. The diameter is 37 mm and the denomination is 1 in Devanagari script.
Thanks in advance.
Yes it is.
Indian religious silver token depicting Lakshmi, The Hindu Goddess of of wealth, fortune, love, beauty, joy and prosperity, with four arms standing on lotus. Swans to left and elephant with garland to right. Below: Sri Mahalakshmi prasann in Devanagari
“Arise, awake, stop not until your goal is achieved.”
The coin u have found is a religious bullion. These coin are sold by jewelers during major festivals in India and do not possess any numismatic value. The one in the picture is sold by a jeweler by the initials of NR.
The 1 in devagiri script refers to the weight of silver in the coin
