Hello crowd,

I recently tried to add some locally issued and used banknotes to the Romania catalogue. And because one banknote in this series was already in the catalogue (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/note218514.html), I figured that the others (5, 25, 50 cents) should be added to the same one. To my surprise, the requests were rejected by the editor/referee (SpuDy) who said that "This is not something used nationally and not even issued by some autorities, it s just a "token", add it to other section, Exonumia".

While I disagree with the editor, because these banknotes seem to have been issued by Navrom, which was a state-owned maritime transport company, and also because I imagine that they were used locally, I see that the pages I created will simply be deleted. Besides, as as said, there already is one banknote from this series in the Romanian catalogue, so the same referee must have accepted it in the past. I have messaged the referee a week ago, but received no answer as to how I can submit these pages to a different section in the catalogue.

I would like if these three pages I created would not be deleted, as I have spent some time creating them (with photographs, measurements, etc.) but to submit them to a different catalogue (perhaps the "token" one, as the "exonumia" banknote catalogue does not exist on Numista.

Any help will be very much appreciated. I try to contribute to the catalogue, but I am disappointed when communication is so patchy and am about to lose my contribution like this.

Thanks!
Just the fact that the "notes" were issued by a company makes them tokens or vouchers or whatever, definitely not banknotes. These were used on cruise ships on the Danube. On the other hand, this https://en.numista.com/catalogue/note218514.html should be moved to exonumia.
Point taken. The reason I submitted the three notes to the banknote catalogue is because there already was on in the series in that catalogue, so I thought that it must be in the same one. I agree that since these are not banknotes they need to be in a different category, but to my knowledge there is no exonumia catalogue for notes on numista.

Besides, my question was how to make it so that I don’t loose the work I’ve put in creating those pages. So is there any way to submit them to a different catalogue without rewriting the whole thing, and to which catalogue do they belong, tokens?

Sadly, there is no way to resubmit a page when it is rejected. It would have definitely be easier to just change the issuer to Tokens and resubmit it*, but you will now have to remake the pages.

*With that being said, because we now have an Exonumia section, these should be submitted in the Exonumia section. Right now, there is no way for members to manually move items from the Coin or Banknote sections to the Exonumia section--only the Numista Robot can do that. Xavier did say he would like to implement a way for members to manually move coins/banknotes; however, we cannot really do anything about it in the meantime, other than wait for Robot to move items.

For Exonumia items, you would need to use this page to submit them:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/pre_nouveau.php?type=exonumia

For the type, scroll to the bottom for the Paper Voucher options (and based on the reference of the existing page, Foreign exchange certificates should work as the specific type).

Regarding this page: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/note218514.html,

Looking at the modification history, it was first created under Romania, then moved to Exonumia by the referee, then moved to Tokens by the referee for Exonumia, then moved back to Romania based on another member's request. There is definitely some confusion on these pieces, but I would call them Tokens. (8

When we get the ability to move items from Banknotes to Exonumia, we can move this item to the correct place. But in the meantime, it would be better to start requesting Token/Exonumia items directly in the Exonumia section.
The information even if rejected is still there for the next 30 days. Just open two browsers side by side then copy 'n paste your old sheet data to a new one ... you just have to re-upload your pictures.
Isn't it possible to edit a rejected entry and just change the "country" to "exonumia"?

[Setting this thread to Accepted so, when we do get the ability to manually move items from Banknotes to Exonumia, this Romanian Foreign Exchange certificate will not be forgetten about.]
