First I’d like to say that I’m new to professional collecting and unfortunately polished this Coin
weight 27.52 g
Diameter of 38.5 mm
thickness 3.15 mm
any thoughts on this coin would be greatly appreciated

I performed a bleach test and it appears to be silver
I have a magnet for magnet fishing and tested this coin which is non-magnetic
Thanks Sam
Hi and welcome to the forum.

I believe this is your coin:

However I’m 90%+ positive that it is a fake due to this coin being very rare.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
100% a fake. The unicorn has turned into a horse (plus a bunch of other messy details). At least there's no harm done with the polishing!

Indeed. And the Queen looks even more pissed on this replica than her normal pissed portrait.
Thanks everyone learning as I go LOL

Even the Lion looks mighty unhappy - grumpy

I have one of these coins how would you know if it’s real or fake and what are they worth

And where can I go to get it checked as worth a shot

Originals are exceptionally rare, but it is a very popular reproduction coin because of it's rarity & unusual design. I can find a few listings on ebay starting at around £5. Even ones with silver plating.

Originals are 92.5% silver. Any jeweller or dealer will have tools to check metal content.

You can also check weights & dimensions yourself. If it's made of other materials, they'll have to have something wrong. Reproductions usually get the diameter right, but either the weight or thickness wrong.

I would almost certainly say yours is a reproduction. It looks too bright (silver tarnishes over time), and as discussed, originals are really rare.

Beyond that, something just looks wrong. I can't put my finger on it, but probably something in the detailing.

Thank you I’ll have to get it looked at as I found it in a box in the loft first time being up there is there any where I can find the dimensions online for it

I would assume it's the same size as standard circulation coins of that time.  28.28 g, 38.61 mm .925 silver

Also it looks like yours has circulation wear which would be very unusual for an authentic pattern proof coin.

Hello. I just found one of those coins. I imagine it's aluminium? I see there are three listed here: gold silver and aluminium.  This one..

I also noticed that it's a horse on my coin. So I presume it's a fake. But how old??? Recent or an old copy from ye olden days.😂
