In the Turkmenistan catalogue it says for the old manat:
Manat (1993-2009)
100 Tennesi = 1 Manat

And for the new manat it says:
New manat (2009-date)
100 Tenge = 1 Manat

What it should be is:
Manat (1993-2009)
100 Teňňesi = 1 Manat

And for the new manat:
Manat (1993-2009)
100 Teňňe = 1 Manat

Thank you!
NOTE: The same error appears in the Coin catalogue of Turkmenistan as well.
Hello,

Not sure what is wrong here? the new Manat also circulated 1993-2009? or just a typo?

The word in English is "tennesi", so it's also correctly listed.
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tennesi

We also usually list "First manat", "Second manat". would this work for Turkmenistan?
Citeer: "stratocaster"Hello,

Not sure what is wrong here?
Sorry. It's the spelling, and different plural form, of the subunit:
Manat (1993-2009): 100 teňňesi = 1 manat
New manat (2009-date): 100 teňňe = 1 manat
There's no doubt the coins of the first manat have "Türkmenistanyň Teňňesi" on them whilst those of the second manat have "Teňňe" on them. Tenge is definitely wrong. However, are we sure this isn't a gramatical difference caused by the presence of the word "Türkmenistanyň" on the earlier coins? It seems at least possible to me that both should be "Teňňe". If no one has an answer to this, we should definitely change the second manat's subdivision to "Teňňe" and see if further clarification can be obtained.

You mean that "teňňesi" would be genitive? Or dative? (I'm not so good with cases, lol! :P ) Well, that is very possible. Anyway, let's go for teňňe with both currencies. :D

Okay I've updated the database to comply with the guidelines:

Thanks:wiz:
Now both read teňňesi, not teňňe. This wasn't what was requested.

And the n's are without the háček. Any reason? Look at Czech Republic, they got their special characters on haléřů ...
