VFW Coin??? [opgelost]

Short Story. Back in December of 2017 The U.S. Army contacted my family that they have Identified the remains of my Uncle who was lost in the Korean Conflict in 1953. In March of 2018 he was buried in our hometown. After the funeral a gentleman from The local VFW was passing out these coins. So my question is this. I know it would be considered in the Exonumia category but which Sub-Category? A token , a medal , a promotional item or should this be not even included at all? Sorry for the lengthy post. This is the first time I've posted on the Forums. Thanks for any and all help.

Do they have pins on them? I am thinking : United States - unclassified exonumia - miscellaneous token such as these:

I don't think so, his are not challenge coins.
No this one does not have a pin on it.
When I add it I will add it here United States - unclassified exonumia - miscellaneous token.
Thanks for your help.
