I believe it could be Patan mint but I’m having hard time reading the year. It can’t be 1215 (۱۲۱٥) as year 1215 and onwards read from right to left (٥١٢١). Any help is appreciated.

This is the best photo i can capture with my phone.
Please post photos of both sides with all ID requests. It does look like your coin is a gold fanam of Tipu Sultan from Mysore, Patan mint. Apparently for some of these coins the date was written from left to right.

and for some from right to left

Sorry, I added obverse with persian “He” letter. It is definitely a Tipu fanam. But I have a 1215 fanam where the date goes from right to left hence the confusion. Tipu switched from AH to AM dates in year 1200(AH)/1215(AM). For later he also switched dates from right to left. I wonder if he had dates going in both directions for that transitional year.
Thanks for posting the photo of the other side. That sounds like a reasonable hypothesis to me, that some were made with dates in each direction in the transitional year.
Thanks for your input. My concern is if I am carrying a fake in one of these two coins :(
Did more digging and it turns out there were indeed two variants issued for year 1215 AM according to this book:
