China "Junk Dollar"? [opgelost]

Hi everyone! I found this coin and am unable to identify it:

The diameter of the coin is 45mm.

The closest match I found on Numista is this one, however the symbol on the right of the ship is different and coin diameters are different as well.

I also found this Ebay listing but their edge is embossed whereas mine is ribbed.

Any idea what this coin might be?
Hello,

It is definitely fake just by looking at it, and the rim. The surface doesn't like right and a bad strike very common with counterfeit pieces. This is also a very common coin faked in China along with the Yuan Shikai dollars.

To be 100% certain though I need the exact weight of your coin which you are supposed to provide according to the Numista guidelines.

I can tell you for certain that it is not a counterfeit of anything, doesn't represent itself to be a Junk dollar, and certainly is not a Junk dollar. It is a fantasy piece and technically doesn't break any counterfeiting laws. Even your Ebay link represents itself to be a "5 Yuan" and not a dollar. The 45mm is a clue. Year 24 is another, The metal content is another, and the edge embossed by the "artist" is another. Do a silver test and you won't find any.
The problem is these "fantasy coins" are often sold as originals. I recommend destroying this piece for the greater good of the hobby to get rid of one more Chinese "fantasy" coin.

Thank you both for your replies! I think I got my answer now.
For what it's worth, I was able to weigh the coin today and it weighs 28 grams.

Its also called a "junk" dollar not because the coin is necessarily junk but because Chinese ships (like the one on the reverse) are called junks.

Understood. I know all about the Chinese ship / Junk reference. I was referring to the fact that this could not be referenced as a junk dollar simply because the other side of the coin clearly refers to itself as a 5 Yuan and not a dollar at all. These fantasy pieces are intended to confuse in every way possible and I just wish they didn't take up so much time and discussion here on our boards.
