Can someone help identify this coin or at least try to give me some clue what to look for?

You need to look at the head of the emperor, his name is written around his head. It will be your first picture, which is upside down.
Sometimes it is impossible to read the letters even partially, then you may look at the shape of the head of the emperor. But sometimes it is just unidentifiable. I am not an expert in Roman coins, but my estimation, look at 200-450 AD, mostly at 300-400 AD.
