I was thinking about buying this coin but have no expertise in Indian or Islamic coins. The seller claims it is a silver square rupee from The Mughal Empire under Akbar the Great. Any helpful opinions would be appreciated and if it is even real.
I appreciate you're help. Yes, I messaged the seller about measurements and waiting to hear back. Sorry I should mention I have no measurements at this time. I have seen several different mints for this coin under this ruler in square form but they're different patterns.
It is square rupee coin of Mughal ruler Akbar. From the images it looks authentic.
The mint name is partially visible at the bottom in the first image. To me it looks to be of Ahmadabad mint. https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=80965
