What is the value of a Medaille "Papst Johannes Paul II. in Bottrop" PP 999'er GOLD!!! ?

I kindly ask You to possibly help determining the value of the coin attached on the pics. According to my understanding it was issued for the 1987 visit of Johannes Paul II. in Bottrop, in limited number, although no serial number could I found, and it is gold. There are many silver ones out there. I appreciate all of Your help! Another question would be where to sell it if I decided to to do that! THX a lot! Sab

Hello, the value of the medal is difficulty to detect.
Minimum value is the (melting) value of contained gold. If you find a collector who like to get such a modern medal you may get more than the worth of the gold. But mostly not very much more.
