I am from the UK and I have discovered in my attic four coin albums of world coins (they're very heavy and in some special red book coin folder binders), all of them have coins from every country that is in the 2006 Standard Catalog Of World Coins book (1901-2000) (except Umm Al Qaiwain). The reason I say 2006 is because there is a book of that in the attic as well and a piece of paper which states which countries of the coins that are in the albums have been covered in the World Coins book. From that piece of paper, all countries are covered except for Umm Al Qaiwain.
Now I'm not into coin collecting and these coin albums use a lot of space and I'm thinking of selling them. I've notice in the collection rarities from Tannu Tuva and Tonkin. Most coins in the albums are from the 20th century, some are from the 21st century. I think there maybe one or two from the 19th century. I was wondering if I wanted to sell them, shall I sell them in one go or is it best to separate them into countries or regions to sell.
Also how much do you think they would be worth taking account of some rare ones from Tannu Tuva and Tonkin. Also any ideas where is the best internet site to sell them? I'm guessing Ebay is an option. I don't want to carry these heavy 4 albums to a coin shop, that is located far away. I don't live anywhere near London or some big city that has coin shops.
Also if I did sell them on Bay, how do you send big 4 coin albums full of coins? Local Post Offices wouldn't accept them. Is there a recommended courier service in the UK that specialises in sending large objects like 4 heavy coin albums?
Any advice will be appreciated in selling them and what factors do I need to take?
