Any idea what this coin is?

Hello everyone, I hope you are all keeping well.

I bought a quantity of new & old coins+notes from an auction house when I was visiting my relatives.

Ive tried googling etc but cant pinpoint what this coin is.

My friend said it could be a sovereign or half sovereign but obviously this is not an area im experienced in.
When I googled the sovereigns they look a completely different colour.

It appears to be a fake gold sovereign. The distance between the date and the designers initials B.P. is much too wide.

I suggest you take it to a jewler and test the composition of the coin. It should be gold if it is real

What about the weight of the round piece of alloy?
