Thick, square coin-- maybe Arabic or Indian

I recently bought this coin. Any idea what it is?
15 mm x 14 mm
5 mm deep
Weighs approximately 9 grams

I don't know if I have the orientations correct. I can't really tell what constitutes the letters/characters.
