If I could vote I'd go for Vermin Supreme. Anyone else?
Obama, period.

Plus I'm spreading the word.

Good to know there are still sensible people out there. Just about everyone around here is going to vote for Mittens 2.0 and his default face.

At least he has better grammar than George Bush.

Vote Vermin Supreme! You'll get a free pony!
In the past I never voted, too be honest the only political party In the UK that speak any sort of sense to me are BNP and let's face it they are a bunch of idiots I wish I could take it over as leader and make it into a respectable party.. I agree our soldiers and ex soldiers should be looked after along with pensioners but they take it too far by singling out British pensioners. I completely disagree that someone could come here pay taxes all their lives and not be treat as an equal in the same way I disagree with "asylum seekers" making a "pilgrimage" to the UK instead of following UN guidelines on asylum. Nobody should be allowed to play the benefits system like people from all over the world Plan holidays around their due dates when pregnant for free healthcare it's just wrong, the last thing was Polish workers coming to the UK which I have no objection about since we did it in the 80's but the fact that when they go home they can claim for 2 years after for child benefit.. Now is it me or is that pathetic ? We need someone to be stronger like the Aussies without bordering racism like the BNP.. I know this isn't your politics but it's hit a nerve lol

Not really sure what do you mean. Anyway, a free pony is better than tons of printed or virtual paper "dollars" handed to a bunch of greedy bankers. As a coin collector, you should feel the difference between a heavy double eagle and the green piece of paper with president Jackson on it.  B)

Read about him here. I'd rather have gold and silver too, but that's not going to happen any time soon. If anything we'll be using more and more plastic to buy things in the near future.
They should go back to gold and silver coins lol ! XD

That they should. But imagine the amount of hoarding there would be.

Not at all. If the amount of silver and gold coins does not rapidly increase (it will not, of course, since mining is a slower process than creating money out of thin air), then each monetary unit will buy the certain amount of goods and services. You may hoard all your money if you want, but then you'll likely die from the hunger, lack of hygiene, or disease, to name a few.  :D
Believe it or not, you'll have to spend your money, whether it's a filthy paper or the shiny coins. Hoarding begins when the government starts issuing paper money not backed by gold and silver.

Hoarding also begins when metal prices get too high. Take the U.S. Large Cents for example. People hoarded them and melted them down because the price of copper in the cent was worth more than the cent itself. Or you could take the switch from silver to cupro-nickel in the mid 60's. There was a vast amount of hoarding which prompted the government to put silver only in the half dollar while the quarter and dime were switched to copper-nickel.

We are likely never going to see silver or gold issued in circulation again. As technology advances, the world (especially America) will get lazier. Coins and bills will become less used, as they have been over the past few years, and will eventually be taken from circulation. At that point plastic and eventually digital means of payment will become the dominant forms of currency.
