Can anyone confirm that this is an Ali Shah 1 Rupee coin ? Approximately 11 grams and 11 mm in diameter.

You should mention India, state of Awadh, and the diameter stated is way off for a rupee of about 11 grams. 

That said, it does look like a rupee of Muhammad Ali Shah. Here are a couple of examples

The date shown on the second photo is AH 1253.
