Hello

There are also two issuers with the same name (Canton Uri) under Uri. This is confusing, so I suggest they should have distinct names. I suggest that the name of the pre-Helvetic Republic Uri is changed to “Uri, Talschaft of”. This is the German name, and I don't think there is a translation in English (see here Wikipedia and HLS).

There is also currently a typo in the name of Cnaton Uri.

Thank you

I went with republic N#90378

Thanks for the report.

Catalogue administrator

Could you please elaborate why you went with republic?

First, the members of the confederation began to style themselves as republics only in the mid 17th century. So all but three coins now appear wrongly attributed to the Republic of Uri, which didn't even exist when most coins were issued (e.g. this one).

Second, the other Swiss cantons that were Republics (e.g. Lucerne, Bern, Zürich, which already have Imperial City and Republic as ruling authorities) are not listed as “Republic of” in the Numista country list. So this naming is also inconsistent with the other cantons.
