Could you help to identify tgis token?what was  base token, and what means countermark

I found that Murano is an island  near Venice.  Might it be a transportation token between  island an city? 

I tried to help solve this when you first posted it but really did not have a satisfactory answer to post so I did not reply. Because nobody else has replied I will share my first thoughts about this token. Murano Italy is most famous for it's world class glass making  works. I too thought this could have been a transportation token for one of the ferries or gondola services that transport the many thousands of tourists that visit the glass museum associated with the glassworks on the Island. Perhaps, If you bought something from the gift shop, they would counterstamp the token to pay the ferry operator for the tourists transportation to and from the Island.

the fact , that  we cannot find this particular token anywhere . it looks strange..  - stylistically, I think its from   the late 1800-s to 1930-ies..  mostly looks like 1910-1930 period.

Murano is most famous for its glassmaking industry - & a group of Venetian islands.

Yes I think is a transportation token of società veneta lagunare, because I found this one quite similar to your token

Società Veneziana per le Conterie had some important buildings at the end of XIX century in Murano. So may be a vaporetto token from Venice to Murano island for the workers of that “big” company?

who knows…  countermark is another headcrack - probably it was countermarked in case to show that  this token is still use?

anyway, we came  to more or less close answer: 

SVC - Società Veneziana per le Conterie 
SVL - Societa Navigazione a Vapore Lagunare

Transportation token, used on vaporetto boats.

Transportation: Venice - Murano.

period - late 1800s - to 1930-ies. 

Countermark:  X

o my god - I just now saw that there is a dash between VENEZIA and MURANO.   so, it is  definitely transportation token “ Venice - Murano”    :)  :)

Metal  looks brass, or probably Al/Bz. 

 Diameter I dont remember but quite  large,  , about  2 euro coin

Where is the token? Can it not be measured?
