Belgium 10 Centimes KM#81 date listing amendment needed

6 berichten
Hi Numista people!!!! 8)

I wanted to put my 10 Centimes from Belgium, KM#81 to Numista catalog and compared the date listing Numista has for this coin type with my papaer Krause catalogs of earlier editions and the 37th edition 1901-2000 and found out that the date listing of Numista needs some amendments!

Numista lists the following fir this coin type:

KM#81, 10 Centimes, Belgium

1915

1916 (date letters "1916")

1916 (date letters "1916 .")

1916 (date letters ". 1916")

1916 (date letters ". 1916 .")

1917

My info based on 3 Krause catalogs can be summarized like this:

- 1915 (mintage: 9,681,000 )

- 1916
- 1916/15
- .1916. (Note: With dots before and after date)     MINTAGE for all 19165 varieties is 37,382,000
- .1916 (Note: With dot before date only)
- 1916. (Note: With dot after date only)

-1917 (mintage: 1,447,000)

So if you find it appropriate (my correction) it would be nice if it was amended like this on Numista!!! (The date listing is locked so I couldn't do it myself)  :D

Discussion is encouraged ))) especially from collectors from Belgium as they should know their coins best!!!
correction made
Thank you so much!!! But what about - 1916/15 variety? Krause does list it!!! And it would probably be more consistent to list the dates in the order Krause lists them - main 1916 variety - just plain "1916", then overdate "1916/15" variety and only then the rest - please see below:

KM#81, 10 Centimes, Belgium

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you say:"And it would probably be more consistent to list the dates in the order Krause lists them "
Why? the order is not important. Our but is not to copy the standard catalog but to make 1 catalog with the collector's coins.

Hi there!!! You've persuaded me  :D - "but to make 1 catalog with the collector's coins" is indeed better!!! Thank you all for a quick response and your effort and dedication - Numista is the best!!!!!!!!!!
