Hello,

I'm fairly new to Numista but I'm finding the website very useful so far. One thing I would suggest though is that for the map showing the countries which our coins come from, it would be more helpful if there were an option to set the colour scale to be logarithmic. This would prevent the case where having far more coins from one country makes most of the others have the smallest value even when there is a big difference between the actual numbers from those countries. It's not a big issue, but if you can make this available I'm sure it would be appreciated by many users.

Thanks for building the site!

Joshua

It's a minor issue, but I'd prefer more colours on my map too… makes no difference if I have 1 or 100 coins from some countries, the 1000's of UK coins ensures the rest of the map is always blue.

This was suggested before: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic56354.html

But now you can use the “collections” feature. Create a “UK” collection in your Settings page, and you will be able to see separate maps for UK and for the rest of the world.

This is the result of votes for and against the two Topics that have proposed the logarithmic scale of the map.

I don't know much about computers, so I don't know if it's difficult to create this map with this logarithmic scale, but we users seem to like the idea.

I don't think it's the solution to create different collections for the countries that distort the map, since maybe we prefer to have all the coins in the same collection and, also, in some cases, there may be more than one country that distorts the coloring of the map .

Hello,

I'm closing this topic as the idea is already discussed at https://en.numista.com/forum/topic56354.html

I'm posting my reply in that other topic.
