hello,

I have been discussing the option to search outings by city with Xavier and would like your opinion. The search would theoretically be under location and once you select a country the city tab would be come available for use. please express your opinion on the topic by voting!

Thanks,

But can be complex because now the field “City” is a text box. Can be write with errors or in various languages.

The current filter by region/state/province/canton is intended to workaround this issue. It also avoids the issue with cities which have different names but are located in the same area, for example San Francisco / Oakland, or Paris / Argenteuil.

I understand the need for a search by city is for examples like London: you currently have 2 pages of Outings in England, but it's difficult to see which of them are located in London. Perhaps smaller divisions of regions may help.

The map is another good tool to look for places in or nearby a specific location. Perhaps the usability could be improved, by showing the list of places on the map while you move around and zoom in/out (as seen on many websites), so you don't have to click each marker on the map. The usability could also be improved with a search, so you could type London and the map would automatically zoom in to show London.

Hello,

I agree, but still some more exact way is needed to find outings, maybe it would not just display the outings in that city, but sort the outings by proximity to that city in ascending order. (Eg. LocalCoins 12km away, Cash4Coins 20km away, CoinMarket 27 km away?)

The map is a good idea but is very finicky, there is a few issues like having to click on every location to see it and not have them all displayed before you. “list of places on the map while you move around and zoom in/out” this is a very good idea. “usability could also be improved with a search” this is extremely important as the map is useless once you don't know where the place you are looking for is.

Thanks,
