Ive got here an japanese monme banknote (one of many) i need help identifying

Its about 153mm long and 35 mm wide

Hi there!

The banknote you have is a 1864 1 Monomw Hansatsu Scrip, from the Edo period (I don't think you'll find them here, on Numista).

If you'd like, check for yourself the source I found: https://www.historyhoard.com/products/japan-hansatsu-scrip-1-monme-1864-edo-period

Hope it helped and happy collecting!

Be careful with these. Same as Imperial Chinese banknotes, these are heavily counterfeited. Make sure you get them from trusted sources. I know this is not particularly rare banknote, but still check details like papers fibres, seals, etc.
