2,197 new users joined Numista in December 2022, increasing the total member tally by 1.1%.
In comparison, Numista added 2,052 new members in December 2021 and 1,965 new members in December 2020.
This December's new members added 86,000 coins into their collections. (I am ignoring the one Afghan member with the strange username that has managed to upload 864,157 items in eight days!) 27% of new users appear to be active and 11% are not publicly visible.
2,144 of December's new members selected a nation. 122 nations are represented this month. 455 are American, 301 are French, 145 are Indian, 124 are British, 117 are Filipino, and 97 are Canadian.
There were notable surges in memberships from Chile, Ecuador, Latvia, Libya, Nigeria and Spain.
American Samoa, Armenia, Belarus, BES Islands, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Congo, Dominican Republic, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Georgian Republic, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Guyana, Honduras, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Lebanon, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Martinique, Montenegro, Mozambique, New Caledonia, Niger, North Macedonia, Oman, Qatar, Reunion, Sri Lanka, Syria, Venezuela and Vietnam each gained one new member.
Egypt passed Lithuania for 33rd rank.
Of the top 30 nations, Pakistan grew the fastest in December (2.5% increase), while Russia grew the slowest (0.2%). The USA grew by 1.2% and France grew by 1.1%.
