I have couple of ideas how to improve usage/informational side of Numista with (hopefully) minimal effort
1. Enhancements around Engraver/Designer
- In edit mode (while editing coin/token) implement drug & drop functionality for Engraver/Designer names, I faced many times situation when I need to move name from Engraver into Designer or visa versa or change the order of the names (for consistency with other coins of the series or the original source) and it's not convenient to remove the name and add it again
- Make Engraver/Designer name links as we have for mint/location/issuing entity, for example link Serhii Kharuk should bring you to https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?r=&ct=coin&im1=&im2=&tb=y&tc=y&tn=y&tp=y&tt=y&cat=y&ru=&ca=3&no=&v=&i=&b=&d=&u=&a=&dg=&m=&f=&t=&w=&mt=&g=Serhii+Kharuk&se=&c=&wi=&sw=
2. Enhancements around Demonetization date
- I saw many pre-Euro coins have wrong demonetization date because month and date were put in wrong order, can we replace widget below with drop down list for months (even without validating days of month, e.g. February 30)
- (Optionally) Can we teach numista robot to set demonetization date based on some rules or
- (Optionally) Have some hints/suggestions for demonetization date ?
3. Enhancements around Mints/Marks/Engraver/Designer
- Can we have a links to all Marks as we have for Mints? Although it's brilliant how it works now for some French marks owl/bee etc
- Can we have mint pages more informative containing information about Marks/Engravers/Designers usual for those mints? Like top 5 most used marks/engravers based on coins of that mint + link see all?
First two ideas is not so important/have lower priority from my point of view, but the third one would make our catalogue more comprehensive and show information that is currently hidden from users.
