Hello everybody,
Can somebody help me to identify this banknote?
I think it's from China but don't have more information.

I am not an expert, but if this is a Chinese banknote, not some random text, reminds me of some Imperial era banknotes.
Keep in mind, if banknote is not graded, comes from China and it is very old, mostly it is fake. Most of genuine pieces are in museums. Coins are different story, they are pretty abundant, cheap and genuine
Thanks for your reply, xrp!
I tried to reverse the image on google and found 2 similar notes for sale on ebay, where one of them had this description:
XJ0030, Sinkiang Treasury Note 400 Cash, 1928, S1840.
Fine, please refer the picture, issued in 1928.
Circulated in most part of Sinkiang during AD 1928 to 1939.
Face value: 400 Wen, or called 400 red cash coins. (400 red cash coins equals one-ounce silver coin).
Size: 106mm*210mm.
Krause Catalogue No: S1840 (in the Specialized Issue).
Any chance it's on numista or just not listed yet?
I hope this is also a confirmation that it's not a fake one?
Ok. I did a bit of research and saw that possibility is:

So it is modern Chinese banknote from province bank, Sinkiang Treasury Note, 400 Cash, year likely 1931, maybe earlier a bit. If it is a treasury banknote, it should have a proper stamps from treasury. Yours misses one i think on the backside, lower left in the red box. I cant say if your banknote is genuine, but based on graded one it is likely not.
I would only buy this graded, and never raw from China. There are these banknotes on ebay for sale, and are expensive for whatever reason. Extreme caution with these.
Interesting, thanks for helping me out.
I didn't bought it from ebay but from a professional certified dealer where I've already had some good deals before so it would surprise me that he sells fake banknotes on purpose, but maybe he also didn't know about it.
I'll try to do more research about it to be sure (or hope somebody has experience with those banknotes).

I didnt say banknote is fake or that dealer sells them on purpose. My only concern is that the banknote is not graded and someone bought it maybe without doing research, as you said. I am pretty sure that if you send it for grading to PMG you will get definite answer
When buying old banknotes from China, usual trick is to coffee and tea stain paper to make it look old. Treasury seals are not difficult to make with a bit of tooling. Someone has to look banknote carefully with loupe to see bleeding of the ink into paper, type of ink, paper quality and so on. It kind of reminds me of Confederate US banknotes in terms of clever counterfeiting
