An Austrian Maria Theresa thaler 1780 X restrike turned into a brooch. You see these regularly made into jewelry in the ex Austrian empire and on the Balkans as part of traditional folk wear. With a photo of the obverse I could probably tell you the exact restrike variant for the coin.

Part of the obverse text is covered and not visible but regardless as far as I can tell this is the most common Leypold 4 type struck from 1853 till today. When exactly yours was struck is a mystery from me, probably one of the older strikes from the beginning or middle of the 20th century. This coin is still being struck today and sold as souvenirs or used as silver bullion.

I'm afraid its only value other than sentimental is the value of silver in it which is currently just a bit over 17 euro.
