Hello colleagues.

      According to the helmet, I assume the goddess,,Athena,,- Who could afford to put a countermark through it at that time?

Where do countermarks start?

Would anyone recognize the city or ruler of this wonderful old Greek coin?

 

Bronze, weight:5,23g, Size:21,83 mm

Thanks for sharing - I wasn't looking for that- I had no knowledge - I admit. Even 500 years BC.

My humor: it almost seems that the countermarks of the coins predate the coins themselves.

 

Thanks mate, I'll focus more on it - I still have some similar to this one with a stamped countermark.
