To answer the rest of your questions: Valens and Valentinianus are different emperors, the coins is from the 4th century and the material is bronze.
On a sidenote when asking for identification take better photos and remove the coin from the holder. The legend has to be readable for identification, especially on ancient coins where multiple emperors used the same design and usually a single letter can completely change the result. If Alexius73 didn't write it was Valens I wouldn't have even bothered identifying anything off such photos.
