Trading CU FRNs to build District Sets and to collect different blocks

Hi All

I'm a new member to the forum.  I was an avid coin and currency collector many years ago until I sold most of my collection.  Life got really busy with the family, the job took a lot of my time, bought a new home and kids were in college so I backed of from my addiction to collecting.  I still collected a bit but I became very selective.  About 5 months ago I got a strap of CU $1s and that triggered my desire to collect CU FRNs to make district sets and if I can build a group of friends to trade with maybe even attempt a block set.  Now every time I go to the bank, about once a week I ask for CU straps or even just smaller groups of sequential notes, I'm lucky about 10-20% of the time.  If you are interested shoot me a message.  I keep my trades to 1-10 notes at a time, its inexpensive and cheap to mail.

 Guessing abbreviations:

Crisp Uncirculated (CU)

Federal Reserve Note (FRN)

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

Zak

You are correct CU=Crisp and Uncirculated and FRN=Federal Reserve Note

Collecting  modern notes in any other condition other than CU isn’t worth it.  I went to the bank today and got some sequential $2s with a starnote.  I was very lucky, I check with my local bank weekly and usually get sequential notes on average about once a month hence the desire to find other collectors to trade with.

So here is what I have to trade.

10 CU consecutive 2017A $2 BA block for trade.  Looking for 10 consecutive 2017A $2 any district except B or L.

10 CU consecutive 2017A $2 LA block for trade.  Looking for 10 consecutive 2017A $2 any district except B or L.

10 CU consecutive 2017A $1 JA block for trade.  Looking for 10 consecutive 2017A $1 any district except E or J.

10 notes CU consecutive groups of  2017A $1 LA block for trade.  Looking for 10 consecutive 2017A $1 any district except E or J.

Welcome to Numista Frank!

Presently, you have no notes listed for swap.  This could delay anyone contacting you.

You may want to read up on HOW TO SWAP so members here can initiate a swap should they wish to exchange their US banknotes with you.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.  I registered my notes so I’m ready to trade.

I picked up a partial strap of 2017A EA block.

Do you have an interest?  I haven’t got lucky in a bit but today I got a half strap of 2017A $1s BC block.  Most of the notes had been mishandled  so not worth keeping but at least 8 of them were  keepers.  When I ask for CU notes at the bank I never know what I might get.  Since I started this endeavor I have come up with small runs of CU notes from several $1 series including 2017A, 2017,2013,2009 and a strap of 1976 $2s.  It takes persistence, often tellers give me strange looks and automatically say no new notes but the nice ones ask others or look in the vault and sometimes I get lucky.  Let me know if you would like to make a trade
