Pakistan Post stood at 55th spot

Thanks for uploading!

Yes it seems Pakistan did fairly well on this compared to other South Asian and Middle Eastern countries.

Quite shocked to see many so called developed countries getting lowish scores. Malta got 5/10, Australia 7/10, NZ 8/10.

Sadder is most Caribbean, African and Pacific countries did very poorly. Central African Republic got 0.00 for 2 scores. Most African countries were 1's and 2's, even South Africa got just a 4.

I was shocked to see many former Eastern Bloc places like Belarus got 10/10 and China 9/10 - my guess is there is a former Socialist/Communist bias in this report, or just the Communists left a very good postal infrastructure and computers and emails have not really penetrated these “middle” income countries, like the west has. Also given that Belarus is a dictatorship - its not surprising most people use the mail.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Do you personally agree with the low score for New Zealand, based on your personal experience?

Relativity theory works with this rating as well: in the last 4 years I had only 2 parcels (one inbound, the other outgoing) lost. One from Japan, the other to France - both countries rated 10 😝

So personally, what rating do you think is fair for Japanese and French service?

The letters might also have been lost in Israel, don't forget that?

Yes, our service has been so reduced in the past 10 years. we get deliveries only every 2 days and letters that used to take a day to cross town and 2 to cross our country, now take the same time in weeks.

What else, in the past 15 years postage climbed from 50 cents to $2 in a local letter (It will go to $2 in July).

Not sure why Canada has a high score. Out of 5 trades I have set up with Canadians (Canada←--→Thailand), Canada has lost 4 outbound packages and 1 inbound package. Not because I hate Canadians, but I will not set up any more trades with Canadians because of their postal systems blatant mismanagement of moving the mail, registered or not registered. I have never had any problems with any of the other 20+ countries that I have had exchanges with.

I lost one swapletter only, indeed in Israel….

Yes the Canadian post has certainly a few problems when it comes to international mail. My last swap to New Zealand did not reach my counterpart over there. I also did not receive an inbound package from the UK.

There was also if an instance in which my outbound package was ripped apart and the Canadian pieces stolen but the international coins left in. The package was then wrapped with Canada post branded logo.

Considering how expensive and  coupled with this less than stellar service, it’s put me off swapping in the last few years
