Hi,
I saw this small paper tag on a banknote I bought online, it appears to have been stapled to a 10 Lire 1944 banknote.
It says: “53287 MATRICE Serie 64-TA”, and I'm curious if anyone knows anything about it, or whether its just random.
My guess is it could have been from a money sorting machine? Or the printing process if the notes were printed in France? Maybe Matrice is a type of machinery from France?
