Collectors who have sold/traded/swapped coins before, what would be the best thing to do with a large amount of world coins?

Hello everyone!

I have started reorganizing my collection and ended up with 2 large lots of coins I would totally be fine to part with (either for money or coins that I actually need for my collection). I have no idea what the best course of action would be because my coin selling/trading experience is limited to my local antiques market where I'd likely have a very hard time selling those lots (and even if I were to sell them bit by bit, it would be unpractical, would take a very long time and it would be necessary for me to pay to participate to the market every time).

I am mentioning 2 lots because I have split them in two: the "better world coins" and the "bad world coins". The better world coins lot includes coins from all over the place, including more "exotic" countries, it also has some older coins (pre 1900s, 1900s pre WW2) and some coins with a decent covertion value (think 10 and 20 crowns from Denmark/Sweden/Norway, 1 pound coins from the UK etc). Overall this lot has a bunch of coins worth between 0.5 to 3$ a piece and the rest are still decent world coins. There's probably over 400 coins in this lot.

The second lot is comprised of common coins mostly from Europe (imagine the basic Spain/Italy/Yugoslavia/Czechoslovakia/Netherlands/France/Germany/Austria/Northern Europe etc coins you usually find in any junk bin). This lot probably has about 1000 coins in it.

I've considered going online, but I'm still confused about how to split them. I don't think posting them individually would be a good idea given their individual value, plus it would take an eternity. Should I post the entire lots? Should I split them up in smaller lots (if so, are the lots random or are they made using some criteria?) What should the pricing look like so that I have a chance of selling them relatively fast without being ripped off? If swapping/trading is a viable option, would numista be a good spot to try with such coins? (I have never swapped online/on numista before, so I am a complete newbie to this).

I know this is a long post and I apologize, but if someone with some experience under their belt could help me figure it out I'd appreciate it!

Thanks a lot in advance!

to be open:

I'm having no experience in your project,

numista will be a good place to organize your coins.

Swapping away common coins is difficult, especially lots. If you don't want to trade by weight, you could split into lots of about 20 pieces, criteria are country/group of countries and period.

Sell common coins in bulk ($17/lb or by 100) on E-Bay. Finding a swap partner for a bunch of common coins would not be easy.

Sell the best/most valuable coins individually.

The rest of better coins, you can sell in smaller groups by country/continent/time period/theme.

That does not sound bad, now that you said those I'm thinking to create lots with the low-value coins and maybe put the better ones for swap on numista/try to sell the individually. My goal with those coins is not money itself, I either want to get coins I actually want in return and if I get any money for them it's still going to go towards coins I need for my collection.
