Mystery Cambodian (?) medal [opgelost]

3 berichten • 45 keer bekeken

I have a medal that I think is Cambodian but have no idea what it's commemorating.  Could also be Lao or Thai, but the script looks Khmer to my untrained eye.  Any help would be much appreciated.  I had no luck online searching.

The auction page almost brings up more questions than answers, but it gives the general idea of what this is.  Seems like a medal commemorating the Buddhist monks blessing the Department for Territorial Defense statue with King Rama VI present in the year BE2505 (AD1962).  Thanks very much for your quick and helpful reply!  Quipu
