2 falus 1306: false or specimen or other?

4 berichten • 148 keer bekeken

The above coin seems to be this coin: N#60076

The diameter is 28 mm but the weight is 8,0 g and not 5,77 g

The coin alignment is correct.

The pattern seems normal.

Are they pre-series or specimen known with this kind of weight? or are false coins known with this weight?

What are the expert opinions?

I got one also with the same diameter 28.1mm but with different  weight : 7,56 g. The piece seem to have a scratch.

I verifies in the “Corpus Des monnaies Alawites” I couldn't find any of them.

I think there are false.

Not so sure; the first coins 2 fels (rare coins) dated 1301 and made in Morocco were 7,938 g (Eus#1322 A & 1329 A); this one seems to be made in Brussel (the sïn of Fez is vertical). I think it is rare to have a fake coin of this quality…I would be interested in seeing a photo of your coin.

Thanks

For sure

Hamza
