N#7340 hi just wondering if there is a 1998 coin with this portrait as to me it is a mistake as ive never come across one like it. seems very odd to me that 3 different obverses would be used in the same year

It's not conclusive, but Schön doesn't list 1998 for this type.

Alongside the UK the Isle of Man used the Jody Clarke portrait from 1998 onwards. 1997 were the last coins to use the Raphael Maklouf portrait.
