Unidentified - gaming tokens ?

Hi, recently got these as an ‘unknown’ lot, but they look like they could be some kind of gaming token set ?

they appear to be lead, and have 1-6 dots on them, and 1 blank (spare?).

size ranges from 11x13mm smallest (3 dots) to 20x20mm largest (5 dots), and all appear to be single sided (except for the actual holes that is ).

Anyone got any ideas at all as to age, purpose etc ?

Cool pieces of history.

i would however not be able to know if these where Roman, Medieval or even made by someone in WW1 trenches.

there might be experts for these with some archeologists maybe being able to give more insight.
