Hi,

the nights in Paris are very hot, so one has time to think, when not sleeping. Here a hot night suggestion, which I would very much like to have introduced, since I have coins with holes, bent coins and other lousy coins in my collection, which I would like to replace, but today I either don't introduce them in my numista collection, so I have a chance to get the coin again in a swap, or I do enter the coin in Numista to reflect the actual state of my collection, but no chance to swap for a better graded coin!

Hence this suggestion:

I use “I wish this coin” option for such coins, but anyway fully support the idea.

Maybe it is possible to introduce “placeholder” grade at the left side of  G.

Alternative would be to add somewhere in the profile settings an option to show the coins I marked with grade lower than [enter your value] as “wished” or “non-existed in the collection” for the swap selection purposes.

I thought, that placeholder should be independent of the grade, since some collectors strive to get all their coins above a certain grade.

“I wish that coin” is only good for type collectors, for me as a year etc. nerd, it simply doesn't work.

You should not be able to select “for swap” and “placeholder” at the same time, obviously.

Me too.

I am a collector by type.

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.

As a collector for years (and variants, mints...) like Ole, I love this idea that he is proposing. It would be very useful to be able to mark all the coins that you would like to exchange in the future for others in better condition, and for this to be reflected in the possible swaps.

Hi,

I'm sitting putting coins from India, I got in a swap, into my numista collection (and my parallel Excel collection).

One of the coins, a 5 rupee from 2021H, which is of a very low grade, so in Numista I want to treat as a “placeholder”. For me, it means, that I want Numista to treat as a coin present in my collection, but also as a coin I'm searching for (to replace the placeholder).

It's a kind of dilemma, since Numista only knows I have the coin, so Numista will not search for it in any future swaps! But if there was an indicator to be used, like in my graphic, I would be mighty happy.

This suggestion was aired already in 2023…..
