Saint-Lambert Méreau – Communion tokens

I have a few of these really cool looking Liège, Chapter of St. Lambert méreau or communion tokens. Does anyone know the history behind these?

Very interesting.

I saw one of those (or something ver y like it, I dodnt know what it was) in a shop window in Brussels, when I was a student, this was in the 1980s.

I was haunted by it, and next day decided to go back and see what the price was.

I could never find the shop again. Brussels is like that.

I remember that to this day. that feeling of should have grabbed it when I could.
