If it is a coin, as per title, why not show the other side?

If the other side is the same, why not say so?

Why not add the diameter?

Looks more like a token anyway, so should be here >

If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question.

No problem with the answer if coming from an educated, qualified individual

Haha, I'm very interested to see how many other ‘uneducated, unqualified individuals’ are going to give you the same answer. Your coin was mutilated after minting, so it does not have a value. Even if you would have been able to spend the coin in Iceland (it was minted in either 1925 or 1940 and demonitized), it would not have been accepted as payment due to the damage.

Welcome to numista,

don't forget you're new, so how can you with 4 messages to your credit, tell a guy who has 688, that he's not qualified?

Please read the forum policy before posting and start to behave.

The coin, you asked about, is in good state between 8 and 40$, but in the state of yours, where the year cannot be seen, because of the damage, you can't even use it as a place holder, so I would agree, value next to ZERO.

Why am I not surprised you're from the United States?

Not sure why you are being ignorant. I don't know your credentials. I don't appreciate your attitude. Thought I was posting on a forum to be educated or to at least get a bit further in my research. You being ignorant and not taught manners isn't wha

Wasn't what was asked.

Please show us your credentials, are you a member of ANA, no that cannot be, since you wouldn't have asked that question if you had any coin knowledge.

This is the coin it originally was >

N#6021 [28mm]

then someone with skill and machinery changed the reverse -

clearing all details and adding a groove. Maybe to make

it into a love token, but did not engrave the now blank space.

The OP has NO collection, no doubles, so he's very experienced and knowledgeable; I'm sure 😆

Nothing was asked, you only wrote “Coin value” in the title. No introduction, no question and then you have the audacity to call me ignorant and unmannered 🤷
