need notgeld expert input [opgelost]

I just came across a 1920 Aachen 10 pf coin that does not seem to be in the catalog (not in Funck either). It is a nickel plated iron coin that seems to correspond to F1.4 (it is medal alignment). So far so good, BUT it also has the error of YERSONK (Y instead of V).

Or perhaps it is F1.3B with medal alignment(not listed in catalog)?

Hello 🤖

Without pictures, it will be very difficult for anyone to help you. Could you please post clear pictures of each side of your item?

Please note that this is an automatic message. Feel free to ignore if it is not relevant.

There is nothing unique about the appearance of the coin. It simply does not fit with any of the coins described in the catalog. Coins 1.3A, 1.3B, and 1.3C are all listed as coin alignment.

Coin 1.4 is the only one listed as medal alignment BUT there is no listing for a medal alignment with the Y instead of V error.

Pictures will not help!

Are any of them in the Numista catalog?  If you have a link to the page it might help to see the basic coin you are talking about.

Hi.

The Numista page for this notgeld is full of errors !

The 3 varieties 1.3A, 1.3B and 1.3C are MEDAL alignment (which is the normal strike), only the 1.4 is COIN alignment (Rarer strike) !

Here is an extract of the Funck catalog:

So, your coin is F#1.3B (YERSONK), medal alignment.

You can ask a catalog modification with these informations.

Please, ask to remove “very rare” for the 1.3B variety…
