strange unknown watermarks on banknotes printed in france

4 berichten • 87 keer bekeken

Hello,

I am from Croatia, ex Yugoslavia. In a group of advanced collectors we found that one banknote exist with some weird watermarks. We suppose those are names of the paper type, paper producer…

It is on the banknote od 5 dinara/40 kruna from 1919.

That banknote has been designed and printed in France.

Hope to found more info from french collectors. Maybe someone else found the same on some other french banknotes?

Maybe someone knows what are those words and names?

Hello, this banknote?

Yes, we found that watermarks on that banknotes. But it is on just a few examples. We are courious to understand what does mean that inscriptions. Probably some other banknotes printed in France has the same watermark inscriptions.

If you want a French perspective you probably should post in on the French side.
