Silver?

Is there a way to find out if any of these are silver?

Yes - once you identify the coins - you can determine if they are silver.

The Greek coin is silver (.500)

See here:

N#4922

I believe the others are copper-nickel

Look under India(British) and Jersey.

N#8458

Weigh it to be sure.

I checked under Jersey and there's a silver with the same year and this looked closer to the silver than the copper nickel with the same year so I wanted to find out.

Yours is copper-nickel. You can tell because it's not proof.

@rsirian1 for N#8458 - should the picture show the silver proof version?

The magnet slide is my favorite silver-or-not test.

You need a  little, high-strength magnet. These can be found in the lids of many cosmetic and gift boxes

The magnet will not stick to silver, but it will be slowed down or dragged, by a magnetic force field.

The magnet will stick to nickel, and will be just bounce off copper-nickel alloy.

Look at this little video

Except you need to be careful.  Copper behaves much like silver in this test so silver plated copper or even the NiCu clad copper US coins will appear to be silver.
